Know How to Get Rid of a Time Share?

My husband and i bought a timeshare last year. It is worldmark trendwest w/6,000 credits .We only used it once. We owe ,676.00 on it . I look online and there is so many sites i scared to get rip off they want like 0.00 to sell it. That is a lot of money to get rip off. I was told some one can take over my payments of 4.75 a month but everyone i know don’t want it. Does any have a site they have used and i can trust?

Selling a timeshare can be really tough. You will be lucky to sell it for half of what you owe on it. The Timeshare User’s Group (tug2.net) has some information on how to sell a timeshare. I wish you the best. See these websites:

Call a licensed realtor. DO NOT EVER do any kind of real estate transaction of any kind on line, do not ever exchange money via an online escrow account– ever ever ever ever. I’m a licensed realtor, I know what I’m saying, please do not open yourself up to scams… please call an agent they will at least know a direction to point you in….

The eBay suggestion seems sound. There are brokers who specialize in selling the things.
