I Was Ripped Off From Realty Trade in Orlando Fl. Told if They Couldnt Sell My Timeshare in 6 Months, Refund.?
I have called, left messages, NO return my calls. I was told I would receive Emails when they had an interested party, but never recd any Emails from them either. They said they wouldnt take THE 90 out of my acct until I signed & agreed on th deal (4/09). They took is out the very next day…No response from Atty Gen, Cons Protection, or BBB (RT is not affiliated with). HELP!
That is the classic timeshare resale scam, by now they probably have disappear and the company does not exist any more. All what you can do is to get in contact with local authorities, attorney general and as much people as you can to report this situation, but chances are that you will never see your money back. Bad news, sorry.
You should not have paid up-front fees. Never!
Instead, you should have signed a sales agreement that they would get part of the proceeds only if your timeshare were sold. Sorry, tough lesson. Timeshares are almost always a bad deal unless you like visiting the same place year after year forever and always on the same week.
At this point, you may want to go to the police to report a fraud since the AG’s office is not responding. It probably won’t help get your money back, but it will document your loss.
My heart always sinks when I hear these stories.
