How to Get Money Returned From an Fradulent Timeshare Company in Florida?

Paid almost ,500 in 2009 to Resorts International Unlimited to either sell or rent my timeshare property in Florida. Have never had one inquiry. How can I get my money refunded or where do I contact the State of Florida about this company to try to get them put out of business and my money returned. There have been many more people than myself who have fallen into their traps.
Yes, I will have to admit my stupidity. But, don’t know how to rid myself of my timeshare through a legitimate company. Any help or advice would definitely be appreciated.

Contact the office of the State of Florida Attorney General, Bill McCollum.

The crackdown by the Florida Attorney General has been on-going since nearly the beginning of the year. With over 5000 complaints this year against timeshare resale scams, Florida is doing it’s best to get rid of these fraudulent companies now.

Check with the Florida Attorney Generals office – they will let you know if there are any suits in progress against the company. Just be aware that if the company is fraudulent, you won’t see all your money – most of it will have been spent and you will be left with maybe dimes or pennies on the dollar.

You can’t You signed a contract and paid the fees upfront. Had you done research you would know that is the biggest scam today. I just donated mine to Disabled Vets

I contacted a company in 2005 that ripped me off too, but they only got several hundred dollars from me. I researched for 5 years to find a company that wouldn’t rip me off. I almost paid a company like $1200 to transfer the stupid, worthless timeshare out of my name, but found a company in June that did it for half the price – $600. Had my timeshare been worth some money, they would have bought it from me! But I knew it was worth $0.00. Call Rob Pickel (866) 660-3009 or email info@money4timeshares.com and he will let you know the value of your timeshare. If you want to get this thing out of your name and never have a maintenance fee again, he can do it! I have had people email me before and ask me if I was recommending a legit company and YES, I am! I charged the $600 in June, on a Friday at 4pm. Before 10am Monday morning, I had been contacted by the closing company that had already contacted my timeshare in South Florida and started the closing process. It was approx. 5 weeks and I got an email and a letter in the mail that my timeshare had been transferred out of my name. I called the resort and they couldn’t even find me in the system. She kept asking me how to spell my name. It was an awesome feeling to have that monkey off my back! Now I come on here each week looking for people to help to keep them from being ripped off the way I was. Good luck to you!

I filed with the BBB on my company, still haven’t heard anything and it’s been about 45 days. I got one email saying the company still hasn’t responded. Shocker!
