Research any company that you hire to market your timeshare as much as possible. Look them up with the BBB. Check out their website to see how many of the same properties they are currently selling and how many they have sold in the past.

A few key questions to ask before selecting a company to handle your resale are:

Do you charge Money upfront to sell my timeshare?
Do you offer In house presentation for prospective buyers?
How many units have you sold recently?
Do you offer free trips to the resort for prospective buyers?
Do you offer title and finance services for the buyer?
    Do you offer any guarantee?

Usually with great difficulty. There are companies that buy timeshares but they’ll lowball you on the price.

Although you can try to sell a timeshare, it’s a difficult thing to do. There are too many timeshares for sale and not enough people who want to buy them.

I’d recommend using some online resources like redweek.com or sellmytimesharenow.com that have a base of timeshare owners as visitors to these sites. They have the ability to list your timeshare for sale. Just don’t count on selling it even with these sites.

If you become impatient, you can always try timeshare transfer, whereby you pay a fee and a company takes ownership of your timeshare. You are then no longer obligated to pay for the timeshare.
