How Can I Sell My Timeshare ?!?
There seems to be no market anymore for these duds. My Ex bought it long ago & now I’m stuck w/ the yearly maintenance. I need to get rid of it.

Time shares, one of the worst investments known to man. They are difficult to sell, but if you’re willing to take a huge loss you should be able to sell it. All sorts of ads on TV to sell them or just Google sell timeshares. Good luck!
Call the managing company that you send your check to. See if they are buying back. Then try ebay or another site. You may only get 100 but at least you are finished with maintenance and property taxes
If there is a mail box or a community bulletin board at your home resort, you can put a “For sale” sign. This will pressure the developer specially if they sell it for $20,000 USD and you offer it for $5,000. Sometimes on the fine print of some sale agreements says that the developer has the first right to buy if your place is ever sold. I have heard of developers paying the money (as long as is not too much) just to take the sign out.
To resale or rent a timeshare is a hard task, the basic rule is not to pay money up-front, don’t be another victim of a scam.
Unfortunately over 50% of people that really need to sell their timeshare falls for this resale scams where they charge money upfront and less than 10% of them use their only real option which is to post it or offer it trough free advertising options as much, and as many sites as they can (it is ok to pay a few dollars to post in a great place but no more that $20 to $30).
Timeshares do not have resale value and in most situations you would take a loss in what you paid for, as they resale for less than $2000 USD.
There are some free classified ads where you can start posting:

Timeshares are indeed a tough sale, but as with anything, you can’t expect it sell itself. Some creative strategies you can try to use to sell the timeshare:
–Offer it for $1. You’ll make no money obviously, but at least avoid future maintenance fees and assessments.
–Donate it. Many organizations will gladly accept your unit. You can also donate specific weeks to your favorite local organization and then deduct the value of that week from your taxes.
–Go local. Take out ads in tourist-geared publications that immediately surround your resort.
–Go to the source. Always worth calling to see if you can cancel your contract, sell the unit back to the resort or get the resort sales staff to broker the resale of your unit.
–Go door to door. Go ahead and use one of your weeks. Take the time to talk up your unit with everyone you meet at the pool. Post flyers where-ever you can at or near the resort. Offer taxi drivers and bellhops a spiff for helping you find a buyer.
