Disney With My LO, Any Tips?

So my husband and I are headed for Disney with our son in 2 weeks. He will be 3 months. Just wondering if anyone has any tips? We will be staying in a timeshare that has shuttle service to and from Disney as we please. We plan on taking a cooler with water, pop, and some snacks for us. My son is bottle fed, so of course bringing those supplies. I know be sure to put sunscreen on him, keep him out of the sun all that stuff. Other than the obvious rides, are there any he can’t go on? I have looked it up, and there have been people that have taken their babies on rides (younger than my son) there. He can’t quite sit by himself yet, but if he were to sit either next to me or between my husband and myself, he could be held up right in the seat. We will only be going there for 1 day. We are going on vacation with my family to FL, which is why we are taking our son to Disney so young. I don’t want to be lectured about how my son is too young and what not. Just any tips in general would be appreciated :) Thanks ladies!
I talked to my son’s doctor. He said it was ok, since we were going to be in the sun for most of the day, will keep him as covered as I can, but he can’t be in his car seat or stroller all day right? I have some spray on baby sunscreen, he hasn’t had a reaction to. Thanks for the advise though.

I’ve done Disney with a 4 month old before in August. There are baby care centers in every park. Locate those first so that you have a cool, quiet place to feed, change a diaper or just relax. Get there when the park first opens, leave midday and come back in the evening and stay for fireworks if you can. We always go for fireworks in Magic Kingdom and stand by Dumbo (great view for fireworks on both sides and far less crowded.)

The baby can ride in your lap. I wouldn’t put him in a seat next to you. He won’t be able to see anything…lol. Plus, they have lap bars, not seat belts on most rides so it would fall right about head level on him. There are plenty of rides to take him on in each park. Magic Kingdom has the most rides for him. I loved going to Animal Kingdom when my son was an infant- there are several trails to get away from the crowds and stroll the baby into a nap (get Kilamanjaro Safari fast passes as soon as you get there too.)

The cooler is a great idea. It can’t be a huge one that is wheeled though. They will allow smaller ones. I wouldn’t use sunscreen on him. I never did, just kept him under shade in the stroller or if I was holding him under an awning. There are plenty of stores and restaurants with awnings for shade when you are looking at your map.

They sell fan spritzer bottles (ice cold too) at the parks. They are expensive ($17 last time we were there a few months ago) but we sure did use it. If you can find one in a local store now, it would probably be a lot cheaper (although lacking the mouse.) My son is old enough for it to hold some entertainment value for him too.

There are so many things to tell I can’t think of them all. Any other questions email me. Otherwise the moms panel on the Disney website is the best resource. Have fun!

When I went shopping for sunscreen for my daughter, I was advised that you shouldn’t be putting sunscreen on a child that young. Keep his skin covered, and put a hat on him, but no sunscreen on a child under the age of one.

i think all he could ride would be the merry go round with you holding him. Sorry to say but most every thing else he"d be to small for safety reasons.
Have fun< just know its at least 90 degrees plus here and rains every after noon between 1 and 5. Its rainy season so we are used to it but it does get cool if you are inside.
We have season passes to all the parks, last friday was perfect weather at Sea World other than getting wet but the saturday before (at IOA) my daughter almost had heat stroke.
Sorry he cant do the rides but you guys can take turns and still have fun.
    Enjoy FLA.
eMAIL ME IF YOU HAVE questions.

What! Your son is fomula fed!? Do you hate your son? You must do if you put that posion in his body!

    EDIT:
Wow your a nut! You can’t take a THREE month old on rides! You will give shake your sons brain! Wow you seriously don’t care about your son do you? Also you can’t put sunscreen on babies til SIX month of age. You really are a bad mother! Learn some stuff and when you do,then open your legs and have a baby

    EDIT:
Wow you’re very very selfish! You’re taking a risk of killing your son just so you and your husband can have fun?!

Florida in August with a 3 month old….good luck.

Save your money on Disney tickets and just stay at the timeshare. Relax and enjoy your vacation, because taking a small infant to Disneyworld in the middle of summer is going to be more trouble than it’s worth.

Good luck finding a place to sit to feed him or a clean place to change his diaper. And being in a stroller all day is really going to wear on him. The humidity is going to be out of this world, which usually makes for a sluggish and cranky baby. Carting around baby supplies isn’t going to be a fun task either. It also rains nearly everyday this time of year and it’s really not fun rushing to find someplace to go while it pours. The stores become packed and most of the time you’ll be stuck under a porch or out in the open, and if you’re lucky you’ll at least have a poncho or something.

Sorry to be so negative, but I don’t even recommend Disney with toddlers let alone infants. We’ve done Disney twice with toddlers and it’s still awful.

Anyway if you still decide to go, don’t put him on any rides. It’s just not necessary. The seats on most rides are not comfortable and even the slightest bit of movement can jerk a baby around. Even "gentle" rides are not gentle enough for babies which is why you generally don’t see infants on rides…
