Can I Use Someone Else's Timeshare if They Allow Me To?
I’m trying to go to New York and stay at the Hilton, which my grandfather has a time share to. Am I allowed to use his as long as he allows me to?

Yes he can gift it to you but he will loose his points for a holiday himself maybe he wants to gift it to you or maybe he wants to sell it to you . You need to know if you have to pay a houeskeeping fee. . I’m sure your Grandfather will sort it out.
If his contract with the Hilton permits it.
That’s usually acceptable, but he will need to check his contract. He will also have to sign and fax a paper to the resort telling them that you’re allowed to check in or they will deny you. He needs to call the resort and find out what the requirements will be.
Yes, that is one of the benefits of owning a timeshare.
All what he has to do do is make the reservation and let them know its going to be for a guest, they will give him a confirmation with YOUR name on it. (he may have to pay a fee for this but it’s usually cheap)
